Volunteer
The next best thing to running in the Kentlands 5K Race is volunteering and being a part of a great community event! Students can earn SSL hours, and all volunteers will earn a FREE t-shirt, FREE breakfast on Race Day, and an invitation to the annual "5K Volunteer Thank You" Party! Thursday, August 28th 3-8 pm* - Race Packet Pick-Up & Registration
Location: Whole Foods Market, Kentlands (p: 301.258.9500)
Duties (up to 6 people/2 hr shift): assisting with registration and packet pick-up for Race
Friday, August 29th 3-8 pm* - Race Packet Pick-Up & Registration
Location: Stiles Family Dentistry, Main St, Kentlands (p: 301.947.6900)
Duties (up to 6 people/2 hr shift): assisting with registration and packet pick-up for Race
Saturday, August 30th 6:30 am- 11 am* - Specific Duties Below
Location: Market Square business area, and throughout Kentlands &/or Lakelands neighborhoods
- Registration & Packet Pick-Up (10 people): Assist participants in registering and/or picking up race numbers
- Course Marshal (65 people): Direct runners & walkers, and prevent vehicles from entering the course during the Race
- Water Stops (Up to 6 people each): Hand out water to runners & walkers at Mile 1 or Mile 2
- Clean up (up to 10 people): Assist with Expo clean-up in Market St Plaza
