Kentlands Community Foundation

The Kentlands Community Foundation is a community-based, not-for-profit organization rooted in Kentlands. The Foundation’s mission has three branches: to serve as an educational resource on the landmark new urbanist community that is Kentlands, to build community by supporting local arts and cultural programs, and to provide opportunities for volunteerism and community outreach.

The Foundation believes that the neighborhood is the heart of community life. Our goal is to help connect individuals and families in ways that enhance everyday life and encourage civic involvement. All programs are open to the public, and volunteers are always welcome. There is something for everyone. Your participation is essential.

The Kentlands Community Foundation is funded in part by grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County.

You Can't Miss This!

This Musica Viva: Jazz Edition concert is part of the Kentlands Community Foundation’s Musica Viva Kentlands (MVK) program, which brings a variety of live music experiences to our community. This evening of Jazz Through the Ages features “The Upbeets”, a local jazz quintet, playing a century of jazz evolution in an intimate setting at the Lakelands Clubhouse! Known for their inventive performances in venues all across the DMV, “The Upbeets” have played together since 2017, bringing the best of jazz’s rich legacy to life.

The evening will begin with a 7:30 pm reception featuring complimentary champagne and chocolates. Concert at 8 pm.
