Piano concert champagne and chocolate reception
Join Musica Viva Kentlands for an evening of piano music on Friday, May 12 at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. The festivities begin with a pre-concert champagne and chocolate reception at 6 pm with the concert beginning at 7 pm.
Artistic Director Simeone Tartaglione will offer brief comments on the music and introduce pianists Giampiero Bugliarello and Szu-Yin Lin. Of course, the Maestro always has a special surprise for the audience! Bugliarello will play an original composition and the pianists will also play solo pieces by Liszt and Chopin, and a four hands piece by Fauré. The evening will culminate with a performance of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” arranged for four hands at one piano.
This fundraiser will help support the fall outdoor concert.
