Musica Viva Kentlands Outdoor Concert Series

Musica Viva Kentlands is pleased to announce that our seventh annual outdoor concert will take place on the lawn of the Kentlands Clubhouse (485 Tschiffely Square Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878) on September 21 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend.  But for those of you who cannot be there in person, we will be live-streaming the concert and a recording will be available on the Foundation website.  More details on that to follow soon.

 Everyone at Musica Viva has been hard at work putting together what we believe will be our best concert yet.  The program will be headlined by a performance of Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony (Pastoral).  This much loved piece will already be familiar to many of our audience members and its performance by our orchestra of over forty professional musicians is something that no one will want to miss.   We will also be featuring a performance by our two brilliant soloists (Alessandra Cuffaro and Ken Ding) of the Brahms Double Concerto for Violin and Cello.  But there will be more, including a fun piece where our audience members will help us make the music.

Musica Viva prides itself on being a family event where people of all ages can gather together to hear some of the world’s most beautiful music in a lovely outdoor setting.  So please come early, bring lots of friends and family and have a picnic.  Then settle back to enjoy the magical evening that our artistic director and conductor, Simeone Tartaglione, has planned for you.
